This is the bus stop for line 646 on Mountain Blvd and Fontaine Court. Students from Skyline High, Montera Middle School annd other local schools exit the bus here. The sidewalk is covered in overgrown weeds and needs to be mowed for student safety.

It would be nice to have a concrete section here for kids to stand on as they wait to cross the street. It would also be nice to have a painted crosswalk here for students to cross the street safely. But weed cutting should be done pretty regularly here even if the City of Oakland cannot afford to paint a crosswalk for our students.

Location: North corner of Balboa Dr and Asilomar Dr. The property is bounded to the east by 5720 Balboa Dr, and 5700 Balboa Dr; bounded to the west by 1989 Asilomar Dr, and 1985 Asilomar Dr; bounded to the north by 5701 Balboa Dr. The Alameda County Assessor's parcel map indicates that this triangle of land is not part of any parcel, and there are no boundaries between this triangle of land and the roadway.

The attached photographs, which are representative but not comprehensive, show clear instances of fire ladders, dead branches, tree crowns "bridging" across Balboa Dr, and plants that have grown "feral" (that's the word the fired department used when they asked a homeowner to do additional mitigation to thin bushes and plants).
